KHULU BUSH CAMP

Situated on a private concession in the Sikumi Forest Reserve and a mere 15 minute drive from Hwange National Park, , Khulu Bush Camp is the smaller and more intimate sister lodge to its neighbouring Ivory Lodge. Built along an ancient river bed and overlooking a large waterhole, the camp is a great place for an armchair safari. Khulu is the staff’s affectionate name for one of it's Directors - Cedric - meaning ‘grandfather’. If you are lucky enough to be in camp with Khulu himself, your evenings will be spent around the fire, talking of days gone by.

THE CAMP

With only six tented chalets and one honeymoon suite, all decorated in natural tones and elevated on wooden stilts, rooms have their own private balconies offering views over a waterhole, often frequented by elephant, buffalo and sometimes even predators, especially in the dry season. The main area is built on an elevated wooden deck with a lounge and dining area overlooking the camp's splash pool where elephants enjoy stopping by for a drink.
