DAY TRIP TO
HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
FULL DAY SAFARI
Staying in Victoria Falls but want to discover Zimbabwe's wildlife? Join us on a Full Day Safari to Hwange National Park.
Spanning an area of roughly 14 650km², Hwange is the largest and oldest game reserve in Zimbabwe. Its sheer size means that its scenery, vegetation and game varies hugely, ranging from Kalahari sands in the south, to beautiful forests, granite hills and valleys of mopane woodlands in the north.
Elephants and buffaloes are the stars of the show and can be seen by hundreds during the dry season. The Park is also home to over 100 mammal species and more than 470 bird species.

WHAT TO EXPECT
We collect you at your lodge together with other guests at around 06h00, before heading to Hwange National Park (approx. 190km). You are likely to arrive at the main entrances gate at 08h30, where you will be transferred to an open 4×4 game drive vehicle where your safari begins.
After a morning of pure wilderness exploration, you will have lunch at a picnic site (inside the park), before heading out for a final game drive.
Hwange National Park is known to house the largest surviving population of African painted wild dogs in Africa. Should you not manage to spot them on your safari, they can be viewed at the African Painted Wild Dog Rehabilitation Centre, situated just outside the Park.
You will then drive back to Victoria Falls and are likely to be dropped off at your lodge at 19h00.
