Small and intimate, Camp Hwange is situated in a private concession far from other lodges. The lodge is famous for its great walking safaris offering a chance to get a deeper understanding of the rhythms of the bush. Each chalet has a small couch that can open out as a bed for one child under the age of 14. Children may not sleep in their own rooms and may not partake in walking safaris before the age of 12.

THE CAMP

With only eight safari chalets, the camp is done in a nice mix of thatch and canvas. Rooms are simple yet spacious overlooking a vibrant waterhole. The camps main area has a very simple down to earth feeling with large open plan areas and the camps most famous feature, the fire pit, allowing everyone to enjoy the wildlife that visits the camp throughout the day and of course for those African evenings under the stars.
